FULL-TIME SUMMARY
Hoboken Grace Community Church is looking for a creative and driven full-time Communications Assistant. Responsibilities include: conceptualizing and writing and posting social media content, managing our app and website, owning the weekly communications calendar, and completing other administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing and editing short- and long-form content in a deadline-driven environment. Candidates must have a willingness to think outside the box and be able to respond to last-minute requests. Candidate will work within branding guidelines. As the Communications Assistant, you will have the opportunity to learn from and be part of our Creative Team. You will have the chance to grow in your craft while helping tell the story of what God is doing in and through Hoboken Grace!

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be highly adaptable and possess great time management skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Able to work well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
- Must maintain grace and poise under pressure
- Must be humble, honest and teachable
- Must be available for in-person full-time work starting
- Experience with leading and participating in extracurricular clubs, teams, or volunteer organizations is a plus
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, proof and distribute twice weekly emails (8,000+ active subscribers)
- Maintain Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube social media accounts, including scheduling of content calendar, commenting and posting, and responding to questions (3,000+ followers)
- Update the church’s website and mobile app, including message notes and summaries
- Report communications metrics (Livestream, Facebook, ChurchOnline, YouTube)
- Manage Sunday special events photo opportunities and in-person “shareable moments”
- Draft engaging event descriptions to drive attendance of non-Sunday gatherings
- Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to organize creative assets
- Facilitate ordering and pick-up/delivery of physical church items (e.g., cards, banners, stage design, etc.)
- Maintain Google Analytics and Google Ad accounts
- Identify trends in social media and newsletter marketing
- Handle additional communications and administrative activities, as needed
