Outside of the instruction to, “love one another”, there is nothing in scripture that we are instructed to do more in the lives of those around us than encourage. It is one of the primary roles that we play in each others lives. It is crucial to our family and crucial to our mission. This week we began, “Lifted”, a conversation on how we can embrace this role of encouragement, fill our conversation with things that lift others up, and experience the joy that it brings to our lives and the lives we touch.
