We are honored to play a small part in this global movement of celebration and love. The mission is to ensure that every guest who walks through our doors knows they are cherished, valued, and all know their true identity as God's royalty.

Night to Shine is a complimentary event for people with special needs hosted by local churches around the world. The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older.
At Night To Shine, guests will be greeted by their very own buddy who will serve as their host for the evening. Guests will walk the red carpet and enjoy the VIP treatment, including a friendly welcome, karaoke, a magician, a sensory room, great food, and of course... dancing!

In order to give our honored guests at Night To Shine the royal treatment on Friday, February 13th, we need an army of passionate volunteers to join us!
The only requirement to serve at Night To Shine is a DESIRE to support our guests with special needs. From serving as a guest's buddy or member of the red carpet paparazzi, to keeping the enthusiasm on the dance floor or serving food, there is something for everyone! No prior experience serving as a buddy is required. We will provide the information you need, as well as any applicable training.
Registration is now open. Please register using the button below to volunteer at our 2026 prom.

Hoboken Grace is located at 409 14th St in Hoboken, NJ! Our entrance is on 14th St between Grand and Adams St. It is right across from the pickleball courts under the viaduct.
We look forward to hosting 100 guests at Night To Shine at Hoboken Grace Community Church.
We will have a variety of food options available for guests and volunteers to choose from at Night To Shine. We will have gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Hoboken Grace does not have its own parking lot. Street parking is available, but give yourself plenty of time.
If you registered a guest for Night To Shine, then two weeks before the prom, you will receive an email with your Guest’s arrival time. The arrival times are staggered to help alleviate check-in wait times and provide a smoother red carpet experience for guests.
Please note: The official prom hours are 6:00pm-9:00pm; however, we start check-in earlier so that all guests get the full prom experience and can be paired with their buddy, who will act as their host for the evening.
Guest check-out begins once all guests have returned to their check-in room, which is where you will pick them up. We do not allow parents in the building until all guests are in their rooms. This is to ensure the safety and security of all our honored guests.
Pick-up time is officially 9:00pm, though individual pick-up times may vary slightly due to the pace at which all the guests return to their pick-up room.
If you need to discuss an early pick-up, please email NighttoShine@hobokengrace.com.
Night To Shine is a guest drop-off event, so after checking in your guest, we encourage you to enjoy planning your own night out during the prom! Hoboken is a lively, walkable town with plenty of restaurants to check out!
For Night To Shine, we pair all of our honored guests to their buddies for prom night. It’s our best practice not to pre-assign guests with a specific buddy. This includes requests for a specific age, gender, etc. The evening of prom, after checking your guest in, the buddy pairing will be based on the guest’s needs and the buddy's experience.
Please contact NighttoShine@Hobokengrace.com for more information or if you have any additional questions about buddies.
All volunteers at Night To Shine must be ages 14 and up.
If you are serving in set up or tear down please come in comfortable clothes and sneakers. If you are serving as a buddy, hype person or paparazzi please come in prom/cocktail attire. If you are serving in any other role please come in black. We will have an event shirt for you!
If your child is under the age of 14, they are required to serve alongside a parent or guardian in their volunteer role. To do that, please ensure that both you and your child sign-up for the same volunteer team. These teams would be set up and tear down only. Please note children under 14 can not attend or serve during the prom experience.
To request a change to your volunteer role at the prom, please email NightToShine@hobokengrace.com with your inquiry, and our team will help you make the shift into a different role, depending on role availability.
For the safety of all our guests and volunteers at Night To Shine, all those volunteering that night (buddies included) must go through a background check in order to serve. However, you can serve in set up and tear down without a background check.
