Connecting Nights
Providing opportunties to connect with the unconnected.
One of the most common reason people join a Dinner Group is that they are seaking community and connection.
Connecting nights grow and strengthen the group’s relationship and provide opportunities for new friends to get connected. We aim to host a connecting night once a month. This includes one night that extends the invitation to the public (connection or impact event) quarterly.
Connection events are one of the most successful ways that people are connecting at Hoboken Grace and getting information about joining a dinner group. And as you know, it’s in these dinner groups that lives are changed and lifelong friends are made. That’s why we place such a high priority on this being part of your groups experience
Connection Events are events your group plans together and one that is open up to the public quarterly. Events can vary in size and type.

Impact Events are similar to a connection event in that it’s an event that is designed to help us connect the unconnected, it’s just that the event is service oriented in our community. You’re friends, family, co-workers and neighbors also desire to be a part of something significant. Impact events are a great way to tap into that.

Us nights are nights your group plans as a bonding event for your group that is not open to the public. Idealy they are still events that you can invite friends and family members to join in. Us nights are great for events that are not ideal for large groups such as visiting a new resturant that just opened, attending a sporting event, or playing board games together.
These nights are important for the group to connect outside of the normal format. You should try to plan an “Us” night at least once a month.
We have staff members who want to partner with you to host a great event.
Nick is the connection event expert who has attended and hosted hundreds of events at Hoboken Grace. He got his start throwing connection events as far back as 2008 by throwing after parties to our evening services.
