Leadership Weekend: A Day to Celebrate Our Leaders
Story Team •
Every week, leaders across Hoboken Grace give their time and talents to serve! From weekend teams to midweek dinner groups, to those pouring into kids and students. Together they mobilize the mission of helping people find their way back to God. Leadership Weekend is one day where we get to honor that.
This year, over 100 leaders gathered to be encouraged, equipped, and reminded that they don't lead alone. We started the morning in prayer for themselves and for one another. Then, we opened up a panel discussion where leaders could ask questions about navigating the challenges that come with leading people. Watching leaders work through those questions together was one of the highlights of the day. We wrapped things up by heading into the city for bowling, and being able to see leaders who had never met strike up conversations, laugh together, and realize they're part of something much bigger than their individual teams was a great picture.

We invest in our leaders because we believe the best leaders are healthy leaders. And health comes from staying connected to God and to others walking through similar things. That's the heartbeat behind Colossians 3:16:
"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."
Our hope was that every leader left encouraged and supported as they continued their leadership journey. We wanted every leader to know their leadership does not go unnoticed and they are not running this race alone!
