We officially kicked off the season of Easter with our first Ash Wednesday service. That was only the beginning. We’re pulling out all the stops this year, with two Easter Egg Hunts and seven services between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Here are three things to look forward to:
1). One Epic Weekend
We’re celebrating Easter with seven services! That includes Good Friday, along with services on both Saturday and Easter Sunday. The Spring Choir will be back, and there will also be baptisms to celebrate and much more.
The service times are as follows:
Good Friday, April 14th: 6 p.m. (with Grace Kids), 7:30 p.m. (no Grace Kids)
Saturday, April 15th: 5 p.m. (with Grace Kids)
Easter Sunday, April 16th: 8:30 a.m. (with Grace Kids), 10 a.m. (with Grace Kids), 11:30 a.m. (with Grace Kids), 1 p.m. (no Grace Kids)
In the meantime, we’ve already started preparing for this huge weekend and need YOUR HELP! If you’re available the evening of Thursday, March 16, come lend a hand at our 301 Garden Work Day.
2). Twice the Fun
The Easter Egg Hunt is back with TWO hunts on Saturday, April 8th. There will be 30,000 eggs, pictures with the Easter Bunny, bounce houses, face painting, crafts and carnival games. This is an all-hands-on-deck event! You can sign up here to be a part of making the Easter Egg Hunt happen.
Both hunts will take place April 8 at Mama Johnson Field (4th and Jackson).
Hunt #1
10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Hunt starts at 11 a.m.
Hunt #2
1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Hunt starts at 2 p.m.
3). Our Greatest Opportunity
Studies show people are more likely to be interested in church around Easter than any other point during the year. This season is our greatest opportunity to share Christ’s love with friends, neighbors, co-workers and family. Think of three people you’ll invite this Easter and start praying for them.
It’s also important to be in prayer for our city over the next five weeks. Be praying that God will use this season to reach people and impact our city in a powerful way.
We can’t wait to see what this season has in store. What are you most excited about?
